How would you best describe your style? I would say I’m a mix between casual, edgy and sometimes boho. You can usually find me in jeans. I love wearing ankle booties or some form of leather shoe that’ll give my casual jeans and t-shirt look an edgy vibe. I also love florals and flowy dresses, when I get to wear them, dresses and toddlers don’t seem to mix well!
Jane Birkin or Olivia Palermo? Both. I want both of their closets.
If you could have any TV or movie character’s wardrobe, whose would you choose and why? Does Lemonade count as a movie? Because I’d love to be reckless while rocking my Givenchy dress too! Or Cher from Clueless.
What made you choose the LB piece you’re currently styling? I love the 70’s vintage vibe it has, I’m really into that right now. I love that I can wear it as a casual piece, add a leather jacket or booties to make it edgy, or wear it with flares to match the 70’s vibe it has.
What’s in your bag? Chap stick is a must, wallet, 3 different lipsticks, and my Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 camera.
What has been the best fashion/beauty advice you’ve received? Always try something new. If there’s a style you’re afraid to try because you don’t know how it’ll look on you, try it.
How do you reset, recharge and keep feeling good as a mama? Some gym time helps me to recharge, a good beer helps me to relax and reset, and a good lipstick keeps me feeling good.
How has your style changed since becoming a mom? It’s definitely gotten more casual. I used to dress up more often, in dresses, and take more time doing my hair and makeup. Don’t get me wrong, I still take time to dress up, just not as much.
Any tips for mamas juggling the demands of motherhood with the desire to still be stylish? Find a balance. The pre-mom me ALWAYS wore makeup and dressed up. Now that I’m a mom, I don’t always feel like I need makeup for small trips here and there. That saves me some time and as a mom, any time saved is so valuable. When I do dress up, I use my “quick” makeup routine which still works well for me and I dress up a casual look with shoes and small accessories. I’ve tried really hard to keep the style I had before with the new me. When I was younger, I always thought moms dressed a certain way, as if they had their own store, haha! We all think weird things when we’re young, right? Now that I’m a mom, I am understanding that just because I’m this new type of woman, that doesn’t mean I have to lose a sense of who I once was. I can still wear my leather jacket and change diapers at the same time.
