How would you best describe your style? Simple with a bit of an edge. Black and gray are my favorite colors paired with a well fitting pair of stretchy jeans. I believe every girl should have a little leather in her wardrobe!
Jane Birkin or Olivia Palermo? Considering I had to google both those names, I can't honestly choose, haha. But if I had to choose based on Wikipedia biography, I would say Olivia Palermo.
If you could have any TV or movie character’s wardrobe, whose would you choose and why? Anne Hathaway in "The Devil Wears Prada" because she had access to the most amazing timeless classics like Chanel.
What made you choose the LB piece you’re currently styling? I love a good hoodie, and this piece being sleeveless gives it a little edge to a simple and comfortable basic.
What’s in your bag? A little bit of everything. I've got my stuff like wallet, lipstick, Stress Away essential oil roll-on and I AM MODERNMOTHERHOOD specs taking up a portion of the space of my Fawn Design bag, but the rest is taken over by my babes. There's diapers and wipes, gummy snacks, a Modern Burlap swaddle blanket, diabetes supplies for my son (glucose meter, needles, alcohol swabs, glucose, etc,) and sippy cups.
What has been the best fashion/beauty advice you’ve received? Don't buy what in style NOW, but rather purchase clothing that works for you regardless of the current trend.
How do you reset, recharge and keep feeling good as a mama?Let go of the mama guilt and allow yourself to get out and clear your head. Whether that means going to the grocery store alone or having a girls night out, don't lose sight of you as a person. Having some time away gives a fresher perspective and allows me to see the big picture.
How has your style changed since becoming a mom? I began to seek comfort and functionality over fashion. Before getting dressed I ask myself "would I be able to run after 2 toddler and carry a child on my hip in this outfit?" If the answer is no, I change. When I do go out without the kids, though, I try to wear heels if it is appropriate for the occasion. I have also simplified to wearing neutrals a.k.a gray t-shirts and jeans on the regular and they are seriously my jam!
Any tips for mamas juggling the demands of motherhood with the desire to still be stylish? Be true to yourself. When you feel good, you look good!
