How would you best describe your style? I think I would call my style casual chic: casual enough to take my little ones to a playground, but chic enough to continue to a cafe or a spontaneous museum visit from there on. Knee length pleated skirts paired with a neat sweatshirt, ballet flats or sandals, cross-body clutch- basically thats my mommy uniform!
Jane Birkin or Olivia Palermo? Olivia Palermo by day, and Jane Birkin by night! There is something so attractive about the little boho feel that's characteristic to Jane Birkin.
If you could have any TV or movie character's wardrobe, whose would you choose and why? I would go for Maria Elena's wardrobe from the film Vicky Christina Barcelona. Its that mix of casual chic, thats attractive to me.
What made you choose the LB piece you're currently styling? The print! All your pieces are amazing, but I adore the simplicity of this tshirt, that carries the strongest message.
Whats in your bag? My bag is a tiny cross-body clutch. Whats in it: credit cards, mobile phone, pocket mirror, and three lipsticks.
What has been the best fashion/beauty advice you've received?
My Parisian friend, taught me to wash my face with oil and a towel soaked in a warm water. My skin is left super clean and luminous, and not at all dry. There is a little spa-feel to this cleansing routine, and I love it!
How do you reset, recharge and keep feeling good as a mama?
In my past 10 years of motherhood I have discovered a few things that work for me, and help me recharge and keep on feeling good:
Wake up earlier, than the rest of the house, brew myself coffee, light a candle, and just gather myself for the busy day ahead. Exercise seems to be the answer to all the problems, and I can certainly say it gives me crazy amounts of energy, which I need to get through my days with the little ones. Same goes for socializing-when I see my important people I am completely recharged from all the good vibes!
How has your style changed since becoming a mom? I used to wear much more vintage, more colorful clothes. Now I don't have the time to go vintage hunting. My best coats are still the vintage ones from my pre-mommy life.
Any tips for mamas juggling the demands of motherhood with the desire to still be stylish? Different things work for different people, there is no one solution that fits all. What works for me is preparation, which begins with having a neat closet. Think ahead, plan ahead, be prepared. Not forgetting the inner wellbeing: eat well, drink well, party well, exercise.
