HOW HAS BECOMING A MOM CHANGED YOU?

It has changed the way I do everything, even ways I may not have thought of prior to having children. My focus is now on how my actions affect my sons, not just me. It has also made me want to be better for my children: more patient, kinder, and gentler. That part is a work in progress.

HOW DO YOU STAY CONNECTED WITH YOURSELF AND MAINTAIN WHILE ROCKING THE MOM-LIFE?

I’m big on self care; finding a little time for myself every day does wonders for me. It doesn’t have to be anything major, even a few minutes to put on makeup helps boost my mood. Self care doesn’t have to be monumental, it can be incremental.

WHAT IS YOUR MOM UNIFORM?

Skinny jeans, a t-shirt, and shoes I can chase after the kids in. I kind of wear the same thing every day, so I change up my uniform with accessories and makeup. I love interesting pieces of jewelry and a colorful lip.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE RECEIVED?

Moms are given so much advice from well meaning individuals, but sometimes it can do more harm than good. My best piece of advice received is about advice: take what works for you and leave the rest.

WHAT IS IN YOUR BAG?

I switch bags depending on the occasion, but I always have these with me: wallet, phone, makeup pouch with my favorite lippies, protein bar to prevent me from getting hangry, mints, and business cards.

BEYONCE OR LAURYN HILL?

Beyonce

WHAT SONG ARE YOU LISTENING TO ON REPEAT?

“Don’t Wanna Fight” by Alabama Shakes. Their album “Sound & Color” has been on repeat for weeks!

CELEBRITY CLOSET YOU WANT TO RAID:

Jessica Alba’s closet, she’s got great casual style.
